This is a dream blog. None of this stuff is real, so don't anybody get mad at me for what I write in here. Last night I dreamed that I had some friends over to my house to watch movies, but it wasn't my house. Not the outside, anyway. Corey comes first, and he assigns himself the job of handing out bath towels to everyone who walks by. He's like one of those annoying pool boys at hotels who just won't leave you alone. He's even dressed like one. Then Vikki shows up. She comes in one of those huge vans that can hold about a million people. She jumps out, and two others girls follow her. One is tall, blonde, and pretty. The other is short and fat, with long dark hair that looks really greasy. Vikki asks if its alright that she brought some of her own friends. I say okay, even though I don't want those two anywhere near me. We don't go inside right away. Instead, we hang out outside. My backyard was almost exactly like the park where Toasti had her open house - paths to walk on, a swing, a pond, lots of tall grass and pretty flowers. For some reason we have a boat in that itty bitty pond. The boat switches between being a motor boat and a house boat. So Corey and I are on the house boat, and he's trying to give me a towel. I decide I need to head back to the house, so I jump into the water. As I swim along, I say "woosh woosh woosh", which somehow makes me go faster. I get to shore, and there stands Stuart Z., a kid I went to elementary school with (he looked like he did in the senior picture he had in the newspaper a few days ago). He gave me kind of an odd look, shrugged, and went back to whatever it was he was doing (I think he was fishing). I'm back in the house, and the annoying blonde girl won't go away. I don't know what her name is, but she's got a bracelet with a "J" on it. The "J" has pink rhinestones. For some reason I'm thinking her name is Jessica, but I'm not sure.
Then my mom, played by Mary Steenburgen, comes in. She sees the bracelet, and notices that I really don't want these people in my house, so she grabs the girls' bracelet and says "You know, those bracelets have been known to give people herpes." The girl starts screaming and clawing at her wrist to get the bracelet off, so then "mom" tries to lead her away and help her get the bracelet off. Somehow in this process the girl's shirt comes off. The next thing I know Corey walks up to me with a cheesy smile on his face and his arms wide open for a hug. For some reason it's really sticking out in my mind that he wore a burgandy polo shirt and khaki cargo pants. Like he was wearing something different earlier in the dream, but I don't remember. After he hugs me he goes back to shoving towels in peoples' faces. I remember the towels were like some of the ones we have at home - kind of a checkerboard print with two similar shades of beige. A really subtle pattern. Fin. |
